Welcome to Middle Place Moments
She's having a midlife crisis... that's a phrase I grew up hearing, a phrase that made me think "midlife" must be big and scary. As I enter my 42 year putting me at half my dad's age, at exactly his mid-life, I'm not having a crisis. Mid-life, to me, is a lot of moments about these big topics, Marriage, Parenting, Daughtering, and Myself. This is my journey in Middle Place Moments.

marriage
Jason and I just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We aren't marriage experts but we have great stories! The moments I cherish most with Jason are when we are laughing. No one makes me laugh like him. Sometimes it's just the face he makes or a shift in his body language but that's the fun in knowing someone. Just knowing by their look how they feel about something.

family
We blended our family in 2020. He has a boy and a girl and I have two girls. They are close in age and very different personalities. I've always compared them to the Spice Girls. Individuals who are talented and fun on their own but are next level together.

parenting
Oh my goodness, I sound like my mother! That's where I'm at. Asking 20 questions, hoping to start a conversation about their day. Trying to figure out what name belongs to what friend. What classes are stressing them out. What activity are they nervous to try but wonder if they could maybe be the best ever at it. And Monday night dinners. Trying to pause the world for a few hours one night a week.
